Forgewood shafts are made from compressed Alaskan hemlock.
Authentic Forgewood made in America: Alaskan Hemlock 1 inch compressed to 5/16 inch shafts.
As you can understand, wood when compressed will be of variable weights and so these shafts will also. If you are very concerned about grain wrights matching, then these may disappoint as they seldom do.
The strongest wooden shafts /arrows made. This classic is stronger and more durable than fibreglass, graphite, aluminum or any other wooden arrow. This arrow will shoot through a 1 inch plank without a metal point! Add a broadhead and it will go through a steel drum, a moose or a bear. This compressed Alaskan hemlock is strong and sturdy.
Forgewood arrows are the arrows you need for traditional hunting! If you prefer not to make your own, I’ll build them for you, complete and ready to shoot matched to your bow and draw length for only $300.00 a dozen. This includes natural feathers, field tips and a dozen bodkins (3 blades) or Hills Hornets (2 blades) your choice. Place your order early for next hunting season.
*******UPDATE: Forgewood 5/16” arrows can be shot from compounds! We recently tested all kinds of arrow weights with various compound bows, and they shot just as well as the other types, but with heavier impact.
5/16“ shafts available for only $75.00 per dozen for pickup or you pay postage to mail to anywhere in Canada. These are the last Alaskan hemlock Forgewood shafts that will be made, and I have a limited supply.
Available for bows 40 to 100 pounds and over; buy accordingly.
